Perspective Is a Tool
You don’t have to be upset about anything. That doesn’t mean life is easy or that hard things won’t happen. It means you always have a choice in how you look at what’s in front of you.
This morning I was reminded that perspective is a tool. When I use it well, I stay connected to what I’m good at and who I’m meant to be. When I don’t, I burn energy on frustration that doesn’t help me move forward.
Perspective helps me slow down and trust. It pulls me back into my faith instead of pushing me into reaction. When I stop fighting what I can’t control, I can put my effort into what actually matters.
This is where balance shows up in real life. Taking care of my body helps me stay steady. Taking time to think keeps my mind clear. Staying connected to the right people keeps me grounded. Being intentional with my work and resources keeps me moving in the right direction.
When those things are in place, I don’t need to stay upset. I can see things more clearly. I can respond instead of react. I can move forward with purpose.
Perspective doesn’t change the situation. It changes me. And when I change how I see things, everything feels lighter and more manageable.
That is the work behind balance.
